Non-Profit Films

I've made a wide range of video and animation based projects over the years for charities and non-profits both as a producer and a person working as a filmmaker or animator for other companies. I've worked for films for the likes of For Baby's Sake, Groundwork, London Airbulance, Royal British Legion, The National Museum of Computing, and yes, even the charity I founded - Help Close By. The best thing about having made these videos isn't just the opportunity to do really meaningful work, but that in many cases these have been hugely successful when used to raise funding for the organisations, furthering their work as a direct result.

As well as fundraising campaigns, there's a range of other important uses for video in a non-profit. I've made videos for volunteer activation which really help explain what volunteers can expect, what ID checks may be needed and key information like safeguarding. Video is now being accepted as a way to pitch for grants at the likes of the National Lottery Community Foundation, and that's also something I can help you with. Films can be a way to evidence your work as you can see from the Groundwork example. If you're working in herritage, video can be a great way to explain the history behind an object or collection where you may not have funding to employ a full time guide.
